"Best New Maker" Award - October 2008

David received the award for the “Best New Maker” at the Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair in October 2008. He was one of 130 makers who had been selected to exhibit at the fair.
David exhibited a range of his one–off and limited edition furniture and the selection panel as well as the general public, were particularly drawn to his latest piece, Le Chic.
“It is always lovely to receive praise from the public when they see my furniture at shows,” says David, “but for my work to be recognised with an award was truly fantastic.”
David added that, “the great northern contemporary craft fair has finally put the North on the map in terms of a high quality event to compete with the annual London craft/design shows.”
