Sand Dune formation
Inspiration
My ideas are inspired by both man-made and natural forms found in architecture, photography, sculpture, jewellery, product design, still life and life drawing.
It may be the sharp angular body of a car or the gentle curves of the human body which form the basis of a drawing. The juxtaposition between shadow and light of a landscape or solid and void of a sculpture may help to inform a decision on detailing.
Occasionally it’s the sheer beauty of the wood itself, in its colour or figuring, which does all the talking.
